Our Mission
PEP Binders gives families peace of mind by motivating them to compile crucial personal and financial details while in good health and spirits. This organization ensures they can enjoy life, secure in the knowledge that their loved ones won't face the burden of locating this information after they're gone.
Our History
PEP Binders was established by Cheryl Gentry, our PEP Leader, who had a fulfilling 45-year career in life, annuity, and long-term care marketing. Throughout her career, she obtained Series 7 and 24 securities licenses, became a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), earned the designation of Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®), and received a Customer Service (ACS) designation.
Despite her extensive industry knowledge, customer service expertise, and numerous credentials, Cheryl felt unprepared for personal challenges. When her father, grandmother, and mother-in-law became ill and subsequently passed away, Cheryl took on the responsibility of their personal care and estate management.
Over the last decade, Cheryl has been devoted to developing the 'Personal Estate Preparedness Binder,' a detailed resource for consolidating vital information needed by caregivers to manage the care of a loved one. She promotes the early gathering of crucial information while one is still active and healthy, ensuring this information is secure and informing a trusted relative or friend about its whereabouts, thus providing peace of mind that they have the necessary details to manage one's affairs.
Cheryl founded PEP Binders LLC in 2024, driven by the support of friends and family who benefited from her binder prototypes. She understands that everyone will eventually have a story about caregiving and the challenges of collecting information during those tough, emotional times.
Having retired from the insurance sector in 2019, Cheryl is passionate about the act of love represented by completing one's own PEP binder. This passion fuels her continued efforts to reach as many individuals as possible in her encore career as the PEP leader.
Knowing that essential personal and financial information is well-organized and accessible to a loved one in the event of one's passing brings peace of mind and enables you to carry on (and go have fun) knowing this task is completed.
